So I decided to get this dishwasher after I realized that the handle on the fully intergrated LG model would not work with my cabinet set up, since the handle protruded too far to open the drawer. I was not happy to be looking for another choice because I had wanted all my appliances to match. However, I am so grateful that I was forced to take a second look. This machine is awesome. I was concerned prior to ordering that it did not have a heated drying cycle. Nothing bugs me more that dripping wet sippy cups. But this has not been the case, as long as there is JetDry in the rinse dispenser, my dishes have been 97-100% dry.
I just bought the 800 series SHE68M05UC dishwasher, and so far I like everything about this dishwasher except one thing….it doesn’t dry the dishes. To be fair, I knew that when I bought this dishwasher and the saleman warned me about that too. I just thought that if I open the dishwasher door half way for a few hours, it will dry all the dishes and I can live with that. But I was wrong, it won’t dry the dishes unless you open the door all the way and pull out the upper rack for at least half a day. Even then the wine glasses still won’t dry completely. I tried using Jet-Dry and it help but I rather go chemical free. If I can return this dishwasher, I would get the KitchenAid with the heating element.
Other than lacking the heating element, everything is top quality. It’s a solid dishwasher, clean really well, VERY quiet, and I don’t have any problem loading the dishes that other people complaint about. I really like this dishwasher, I just wish that it has a heating element to dry the dishes.
